Choikwangdo is a martial art that focuses on the natural, healthy movements of the body.  Choikwangdo is designed for optimal health and longevity.  Particular attention is paid to the body, its organs and how it functions.  Knowing how our body reacts in certain situation, how our central nervous system interacts with our muscles, brain, and outside environment, has shaped a program that is beneficial to our bodies and will prevent decay and create optimal health.  With physical and psychological elements, Choikwangdo provides a complete system for optimal health.

Choikwangdois the ideal exercise routine for people of all ages.  From 3 to 93, everyone can benefit from Choikwangdo's carefully designed routine of aerobic and anaerobic system.  Choikwangdo provides the proper amount of conditioning at the correct frequency to obtain optimal health. Regardless of your fitness level, age, sex, or body style, Choikwangdo can be practiced and benefits received by everyone. 

One of the most outstanding points about Choikwangdo is that it is performed to the best of the practitioner’s level and not to the standards of another.  Each person is different, therefore their bodies will all move in a different manner.  Through constant practice we can refine our movements and better perform our art.  Choikwangdo provides the necessary structure that allows everyone to grow and become healthier individuals as well as provide a solid foundation for basic self-defense!
